BAWAG Security App:

For those who wish to enjoy the flexibility of modern e-banking services combined with a high level of security, the BAWAG Security App is an indispensable companion on your smartphone or tablet. It opens the door to an innovative signing method that fully complies with the high security requirements of the European Banking Authority: the secTAN procedure. Your secTAN is received through the Security App, protected by a security gesture or TouchID/FaceID – allowing you to sign orders flexibly and with additional security.

Note:
To be able to use the BAWAG Security App, you must have activated the secTAN procedure and installed the BAWAG Security App. Log in as usual to your BAWAG P.S.K. e-banking and request an activation code for the secTAN procedure under the "Service" tab in the "Security Management - secTAN Management" section. Then follow the activation process steps in the BAWAG Security App.

Features:
• Sign orders with secTAN:
After issuing an order using secTAN in e-banking, you will receive a push notification in your Security App. Clicking on it will take you to the order details and the order-specific secTAN. For your own safety, review the data and then authorize the order in e-banking using the displayed secTAN.
• Request One-time PIN:
After activating TouchID/FaceID, take advantage of the additional security services provided by the Security App: You can request a one-time PIN instead of your personal PIN for a single login.
For instance, if you wish to log into e-banking on a public computer or while on vacation and have concerns about entering your access data, you can request a once-valid PIN on a TouchID/FaceID-enabled smartphone or tablet. This guarantees you a secure entry everywhere. Of course, the one-time PIN also serves as a secure aid if you happen to forget your conventional PIN.
